Specific search using search forms

Search forms are useful for locating specific information, eg a section of an Act, a particular ruling, regulation, paragraph number, proximity search, etc.

Search forms can only be used within a single book. Each book has its own unique set of search forms - the most frequently occurring is the proximity search form. You can only conduct one search at a time, for example paragraph. To identify which search forms are used in a particular book, just select the book and click on the drop-down Search Type menu located just to the right of the main search panel at the top of the screen.

To conduct a search using the search forms:

  1. Open up the selected book, eg "CCH Australian Corporations Law Commentary".
  2. Click on the drop-down Search Type menu located just to the right of the main search panel at the top of the screen.
  3. Select the appropriate search form, eg the "paragraph" search form in the Corporations Law Commentary book.
  4. Key in the appropriate search information, eg 45-100 in the paragraph search form in the "Corporations Law Commentary" book.
