Displaying search results for non advanced searches
Displaying the results of a search across a product or collection (using
browsing, the search panel and pop-up search forms)
When you are in the collection view, the way
in which results are displayed will depend on whether you search one
collection/product or all of CCH's collection/products.
Single product/collection
When a single collection/product is searched, the total number of hits for a
search is reported in a blue panel displayed in the right-hand frame just above
the list of books. In addition, the number of hits in each individual book is
indicated by a red number next to each book title.
All products/collections
When the search is across all of CCH's products/collections, the total number
of hits is reported in a blue panel displayed at the top of the left-hand frame
jsut above the list of products/collections. In addition, the number of hits in
each product/collection is indicated by a red number next to its title in the
left-hand frame, while the same method is used to indicate the hits in the
individual books of the highlighted product/collection displayed in the
right-hand frame.
Displaying the results of a search within a specific book
The total number of hits is displayed in a blue panel at the top of the Table
of Contents. The distribution of the hits is indicated by a red number in front
of the headings in the Table of Contents.
The Table of Contents can be expanded to maximise the effect of displaying
results. Use the Expand button in
the button bar at the top of the screen to expand all headings in the Table of
Contents one level at a time.
